What is the “ED”?
The “ED” stands for the educational component of our programs that develop specific leadership skills and personal growth and capabilities; as well as provide focused, hands-on experiences that could supplement your academic, professional, and personal learning.
Our leadership workshops are designed so you can apply what you’ve learned about your own leadership potential, and apply these not only directly to your volunteer efforts, but also to your personal life, your academics, and to your professional endeavours.
EDventure International empowers individuals by focusing on three perspectives of leadership ability: Personal, Social and Cultural. By engaging in each of these workshops, you will gain a high level of understanding of your own leadership potential, as well as be able leverage these skills towards your own success.
Personal:
The leadership workshops begin with a focus on personal leadership qualities. It’s all about accessing and acknowledging who we are and the patterns we tend to follow, and then understanding and developing traits in ourselves that are identified in highly successful leaders.
Social:
The second workshop in the EDventure program focuses on your social leadership qualities. Here you will have an opportunity to understand how to be more effective when engaging and interacting with others– especially those who work in different ways, or approach situations from a different perspective. Your skills in leadership, and understanding how to leverage them, will enable you to have a strong and advantageous connection with others that will benefit you as you successfully attain your goals.
Cultural:
The final leadership workshop focuses on your growing knowledge about cultural differences and building cultural bridges. Here you will identify strengths and weaknesses in your own culture, and in others, understand other cultures in a way that allows you to learn from them, and value these skills as a tool for competitive edge, both locally and globally.
